Product Description

PTFE Rings

These gaskets are successfully used in chemical plants, glass lined equipment due to their high temperature, corrosion and ageing resistance. Envelope Gaskets are produced in two forms : - Milled and Slit forms. Milled type envelope is perhaps the better of the two since it is made it fit the insert and present a flat face to the flange. The slit type is perfectly arrogated for many applications where cost is a major consideration. The envelope in this variety does not present a full face to the flange. Solid gaskets can be made to order in different types of shapes and sizes.

Superior Chemical & Thermal Performance

PTFE Rings excel in environments exposed to corrosive chemicals and extreme temperatures, maintaining integrity from -200C to +260C. Their remarkable chemical resistance and low water absorption (<0.01%) ensure longevity and reliability in aggressive industrial applications. This makes them indispensable in sectors like chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food industries.

Customizable for Your Needs

Adapt PTFE Rings to your unique requirements with customizable inner and outer diameters, thicknesses from 0.5 mm up to 50 mm, and optional colors beyond the standard white. Each ring benefits from a smooth surface finish and high tensile strength, making them versatile components for sealing, spacing, or electrical insulation tasks.

Compliance and Safety Assured

Our PTFE Rings are manufactured to meet stringent FDA and RoHS requirements, ensuring suitability for sensitive applications in food and pharmaceutical contexts. Combined with excellent dielectric insulation, their use supports both regulatory compliance and operational safety.

FAQ's of PTFE Rings:

Q: How are PTFE Rings used in industrial applications?

A: PTFE Rings serve as reliable seals, gaskets, and spacers due to their outstanding chemical resistance, low friction, and high-temperature tolerance. They are commonly utilized in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and food industries to prevent leaks and ensure process integrity.

Q: What customization options are available for PTFE Rings?

A: We offer extensive customization for inner and outer diameters, thickness (from 0.5 mm to 50 mm), and colors (standard white or other colors upon request). This flexibility ensures a precise fit for your specific engineering or processing requirements.

Q: When should I choose PTFE Rings over other materials?

A: Choose PTFE Rings when applications demand exposure to aggressive chemicals, extreme temperatures (-200C to +260C), very low friction, and minimal water absorption. They are also ideal when FDA and RoHS compliance or excellent electrical insulation is required.

Q: Where are PTFE Rings typically installed?

A: PTFE Rings are usually installed in equipment and pipelines for sealing, spacing, and electrical insulation, particularly in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing sectors. They are also used in devices where smooth surface finish and high purity are critical.

Q: What is the manufacturing process of these PTFE Rings?

A: PTFE Rings are manufactured using high-precision extrusion and machining techniques, ensuring consistent quality, smooth surface finish, and customized dimensions. This process maintains the inherent properties of PTFE, such as high tensile strength and excellent dielectric insulation.

Q: What benefits do PTFE Rings provide for electrical applications?

A: Thanks to PTFE's excellent dielectric properties and low water absorption, these rings are favored as electrical insulators in sensitive applications where minimization of conductivity and reliability over time are essential.
